Dee Dee Jewelry designed and created by: Katie Sorenson

The Studio
Katherine Sorenson studied Jewelry + Metals at The Cleveland Institute of Art. Soon after her BFA she went on to run a wholesale fashion jewelry company where she learned the in’s & out’s of the industry. Katherine also focused on her own creative work with her large landscape and botanical inspired works on paper and began to show regularly in the Cleveland area. After five years of being an integral part of growing the wholesale jewelry company, Katherine decided to make a change. A new experience with a museum was waiting for her in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Eisner – American Museum of Advertising & Design, the only museum of it’s kind in the nation, asked Katherine to come and help expand various programs and education. Soon after her arrival in 2006 Katherine began her own line of jewelry. The line is shaped with passion for the expected and unexpected forms found in the natural world. Mainly production line pieces dee-dee jewelry does offer custom-made work as well. Dee-dee jewelry is an independent wholesale and retail company and is solely produced by Katherine Sorenson.
